2005 Chevy Monte Carlo Heater Blowing Drivers Side Cold

I have been reading That the heater blowing cold drivers side and warm on passenger side is okay. This is a common problem. What is the most common repair? Can you see the doors up under the dash or hear them, or do you have to remove parts of the dash? Is the Actuator accessible from under the dash? Thanks
