2004 Chevy Monte Carlo Water Pump

In traffic I received a HOT COOLANT TEMP message. It turns off when up to speed. Coolant level looks good. I have not noticed any water under the car, but when I turned it on to trouble shoot, I notice liquid coming from the water pump area. Does that mean the water pump needs to be replaced? On a 2004 Monte Carlo 3.4 liter, is that a job that can be done in the driveway?

If its not leaking at the weep hole try torquing it and see what happens and yes it can be done anywhere with determination
