2003 Chevy Monte Carlo security light

the security light came on and after turning the car off, it will not restart..any quick fix? I tried disconnecting the battery cables to reset, but still won't turn over. I have electrical power (but don't want to run down my battery).

Hi:
The only quick fix is to try a different key. If that doesn't work, most likely one of the sensors is bad and will require a dealer to identify (proper test equipment).
