Electrical problem
2003 Chevy Monte Carlo V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 192000 kms

Well, I have a good one for you guys that I am really hoping you have seen/heard of before.
I started hearing a clicking sound coming from my fuse panels, to which we were able to pinpoint to relays. I have replaced 1 relay, which did not solve the problem, I have had it to a trustworthy/efficient mechanic (not a GM dealership). He cannot find what is causing this demonic behavior. Here goes.
1. The relay on the passenger side would click ONLY when you had the car in REVERSE. Put it in neutral or any other gear. It stopped. (Stereo display flashed when this happened)
2. The relay (behind the enclosed box that has a wiring leading to)on the drivers side started doing it, and while this is happening it was discovered that my reverse lights and headlights were flashing @ the same pattern as the sporadic clicking. It would not stop even though the car was shut off UNTIL my daytime running lights timed out.
It only used to happen IF and WHEN it was really hot out. However, that does not seem to be a factor anymore. It will not do it ALL the time/from the same side, but it's increasing to multiple episodes daily. Only once has it happened, that both sides have acted up @ the same time.
Financially I cannot keep taking it in as troubleshooting this problem has already run up a hefty bill. PLEASE get back to me ASAP, as my son needs to take a trip with it for college matters. TY

For the headlights and the back up lights to be doing that, then the BCM is freaking out.

You might try unplugging it and plugging it back in a few times to try to make sure the connectors are clean.
