Why does my car start but runs and idels ruff and when I press the gass it sounds like it is chocking, and I cant get it past 10 mph without it stalling or dieing?

THis could be a few things. I need you to answer a couple questions. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked the fuel pump pressure? Have you checked for vacuum leaks? Have you checked to see if the catylatic converter is plugged?

Let me know so I know where to start from.
