2002 Chevy Monte Carlo My car runs hot and the heater blows

Two days ago my car started running hot. I made sure the coolant was full, it was low. Today went I got in it the heater would not blow air and the car began to run hot.

When you say the heater did not blow air, do you mean it didn't blow any air at all, or did it blow air but it wasn't hot?
When you checked your coolant level two days ago and it was low, did you add some? if so is your level low again today?
