since i purchased this car, the gas gauge has not worked, im clueless as to how to fix this problem? it sucks having to guesstamte how much gas is in my car before i run out all the time!!

I wold bet that the former ownner found out how much it was to fix it and just sold the car. the trouble is with alot of later GM vehicles you have to buy the sending unit for the gas guage along with a pump as an assembly and it can run about $500 or more. See if there is power going to the guage part if you know what color the wire is and if there is power there then it's the sending unit. Actually you should be able to go aabout 250 miles between fill ups..
