I recently noticed i could smell the Antifreeze in my car. then I started to loose antifreeze in the reserve bottle so, I started to put water in the reserve bottle and the water is disappearing like a running faucet i will fill it all the way up and after driving about 10-18 miles its half empty. It use to make a rumbling/bubbling sound after turning the car off, but I think that was because i over filled the radiator with coolant to keep it at the right level. Some have told me its the upper manifold gasket, someone told me to change the radiator cap because it was not made for my Monte Carlo. Now, that the excess coolant has burned or leaked out its not bubbling. but the temp gague will just a tad bit above the half then go back below it, What is causing this , is it the Theromastate, the mainifold intake, or can I get some head gasket seal and seal it up?
