My secruity light has been coming on after 45 min. of driving. The light does not flash, it just stays on. This has been happening for 2 weeks, i called a dealer and they wanted $200 just to diagnose the car.

Yesterday i went out to my car and tried to unlock the door with the remote, would not unlock. I opened the door with the key and the door locks on the inside of the car would not work either. The radio would not turn on, the windows would not work, nothing. I tried to start the car and it would not start. The sercuity light came on but it was on steady, not flashing. Can i just assume it is the body controle module? I did just replace the battery in the car also.

If it shut everything down like you say, I would think the BCM is the culprit. The security system usually wont let the car run, not shut down several things
