i took my car in for transmission gasket leak , dealer took car and said they changed the gasket , filter and fluid, I still have a leak , they now tell me i need a side transmission gasket to fix the problem , they also on one side they put silicone, the silicone is flaking off.my question is does my car have a side transmission gasket. Or are they just trying to get more money when they did not fix the problem to begin with . OR do they think woman are stupid? Thanks Sue Agee

Yes, you have a side cover gasket.
And it's hard to change with the transmission still in the car.
But it can (barely) be done.

If you're lucky, It could be the seal for the CV shaft on that side. it's much easier to replace. and cheaper too.
