2001 Chevy Monte Carlo Stereo Not working

I bought my car and everything was fine. As soon as my warrenty went out, my stereo stopped working. It would still light up, and show that it was working, still playing cd's, and radio, but nothing was comming out of the speakers. Checked for a loose ground, or broken wires, and found nothing. Just wondering if it might be the stereo?

these car systems ,use fuses for everything including the speakers, check the fuse box for any blown fuses first
