There is no trick. They are a pain. The easiest way that I have found to access them is from under the vehicle. If you have access to a lift, put the car in the air. If you don't get youself a good set of jackstands and carefully and safely place them under the car so you can have the front end as high as you can get it. THat way you will have a better means to access them.

No matter what you do, they are difficult. This way, however, is the easiest way I have found.
