Usually, my car's temperature gauge only goes up between about 1/8 to 1/4 of the way. Now it is running between 1/4 to 1/2. Today it went up to 3/4 when I was stopped at a stop light. I turned on the heater and it returned down gradually to between the 1/4 and 1/2. I have had to have the intake manifold gasket changed twice in the past and when that has happened the gauge is crazy, going up and down so fast that it doesn't make sense. This is different now. My husband says it is just getting older but I think it may need to have the radiator flushed or a therastat or something else. What do you think it is?
