1998 Chevy Monte Carlo no heat

i have no heat in my 98' monte carlo. whats strange to me is that none of the heater controls seem to work i.e. i can't switch to front vent, floor or defrost. is this unit vacuum actuated?

check the fuses for the heater control. the temperature control may be set on the cold setting. also check the connections to the control unit.
