1998 monte carlo temperature guage shows car is overheating in red. acceleration is lost and will not go faster than 30-40. cooling fans work motor blows out cool air when heat turned on. no leakage noted

Get the cooling system block and pressure tested and also check for excessive backpressure in the exhaust and throttle position sensor.
