Hi I just wanted to know if a transmission from a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville 3800 fit a 1996 monte carlo z34 3400. Both are 4T60-E with Over Drive and Torque Converter

Hi:
Honestly, we always recommend staying with a direct fit part. What happens is the manufacturers will change small things then you end up with problems that can't be solved.

In my mind, it should work. Make sure everything is the same on the trans, but keep in mind, there could be differences that you don't see such as different sensors that may cause shifting problems.
