1996 Chevy Monte Carlo front end clunking noise when hittii

i had just replaced my front end struts due to a clunking constant noise in ftont end especially when i hit a bmps it is loud i put on th new struts and the car is still doing the same problem it is on both sides should i have replaced the springs also or maty there be anotherproblem.. the steering is fine makes no noise when i turn or when the car is on the expresssway about 65 mph there is no noise .. Any thing i should check 4 would be great

i would be under the front end checking the steering components for looseness, have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you check for looseness in the steering and suspension components.

also check the ball joints and the stabilizer bar bushings.
