Transmission problem
1996 Chevy Monte Carlo 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my car will not shift from second to third... it will on;y go up to 30 mph. It does reverse. What could be the preoblem?

this sounds like an internal problem . Take it to a transmission shop where they can diagnose it better by using a scanner and see if it's a shift valve or regulator.
