1987 Chevy Monte Carlo V8 Two Wheel Drive 89000 miles

the seat belt rewind has come detached from the side wall of body, it will not rewind or pullout---there is a metal bracket on the top to fit imto a T SLOT, amd a location for a bolt at the bottom, however there is no room for the rounded back of the recoil unit to fit into the sheet metal panel. Also the pass. Side rewind has a leaver door operated rod that operates a latching mech. The driver side does not , aney help appreciated james cox

Any chance of getting apic of what you are talking about? If I remember correctly the retractor bolts in at the bottom and the top is simply a pivot for the shoulder belt
