1987 Chevy Monte Carlo Two Wheel Drive Automatic 67000 miles

i have a 1987 monte carlo ss with a 305 engine a 350 trans only 67000 miles digital das which is a digital dakota series III very nice car was running good but now the car wont turn over the das wont come on or the light that is on the digital box please help

Hello, if the starter won't crank, check the basics. Make sure the battery has a full charge and the cables/wires are clean and tight on both ends.

There is a purple wire at the starter solenoid, that wire should be hot with the key in the crank position. If it isn't, backtrack the circuit. Neutral switch, ignition switch or wiring circuit. If the dash lites won't come on, you may have to check the feed circuits to and from the ignition switch.
