1986 Chevy Monte Carlo Electric Seats

I have a newly purchases 86 monte carlo LS with electric seats only problem is when i go to move the seat back or forwards it doesn't move when i hit the switch i can hear the motor working but nothing happens either back and forth or up and down.... is there some way to either A. easily fix the seat (it's 5 degree's outside and no garage) pr B. manually move the seat forward?

Mke sure nothing is jammed in the seat rails.
