My rusty baby will start up just fine but then begin to idle roughly. Also, when I precede to press down the gas pedal my car abruptly stops. I removed the air cleaner top and have a gunky, oily build up in breather filter (the small one), don't know if that is part of the problem though I am sure it is a problem. Any advice on the matter?

Since my last tune up and also was able to access the trouble codes by-way of the computer. It says my TPS is defunct so I have a new one on the way, hopefully squashing the problem. As well, I re-purchased the repair manual for said monte carlo and have a ton of work to do!
