1984 Chevy Monte Carlo V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i have an 84 monte carlo and when it starts it runns high usually when it warms up I press the gas nd it idles but now it stays high I think my choke lever gets stuck so tell me what else to do

Adjust the choke opening and the fast idle cam adjustment, also might want to clean around the throttle plate bore -plate might not be closing completely

Well ya im alrready doing that what it is is I had to install a new water outlet cause I have new manual gages nd ther is sum sort of electrical plug I think it went to the choke to idle the engine when it wrams up off of the new water outlet
