We turned off the engine light and the car went about 2 weeks and the light come on agian reading catalyc converter carbon build we turned it off again and went 2 more weeks and it came on again how do you fix this I know theres not a problem with the converter because we had it checked again. Is there a censor that I need to replace

There is something causing the damage to the converter. Excessive rich fuel mixture is probably the cause. An engine misfire can cause this, or a leaking fuel pressure regulator.
