1998 Chevy Metro wont turn over

Electrical problem
1998 Chevy Metro 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

replaced starter and still same problem justs clikcks put new starter in it clicked three times then turned over and started shut it off tried again same problem just clicks

Double check battery connections also at the starter side-if okay test the transaxle range switch and ignition switch
