That's a good question. IT depends on the inegrity of the dealership and employees you are dealing with.
I would certainly call them. You may have to pay for diagnostic time for them to determine it. This is where the integrity comes in. Will they now tell you it is the steering shaft instead?
Another option is to go to an independent and have them diagnose it. "IF" they can determine it, and they say it's in the rack, You'll at least have some ammunintion. However, you may aso end up with 2 diagnostic charges.
I wasn't convinced the problem was in the rack to begin with on these as They have had steering shaft issues anyways on similiar ones. But that is just my paranoid skepticism and can not prove anything at this point.
Please update this on what happens in the very end, but feel free to keep this thread going at any point regardless.
