horn stoped working on 97 malibu

the horn stoped working on my wifes 97 malibu ,i checked all the fuses to horn and still nothing, can you tell me how to fix it .some people say i can wire a switch and put it on the steering wheel what do you think? thanks garey

Yes, you could bypass the curciut and wire it direct, but first check the wiring to the hornand make sure you are getting good contact on the clip- may have to sand the surfaces clean- and also make sure the ground is clean and tight. If you decide to bypass I believe you can run a hot wire from any 12 vt. connection on the fuse box or even from the battery to a button- then from the button to the horn, again make sure the horn has good ground connection. Then mount the button where it's easily reached while driving. Hope this helps you out some. :D
