2006 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Do you have a suggestion as to why a clunking/clicking noise occurs when the turning the car (either forward or reverse)? Looking at other online chat rooms on Chevy Malibu's, this seems to be a rather common issues with other car owners.

Clanking and clicking when turning usually and most likely an indication of a failed CV axle
should have it checked
