Brakes problem
2006 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Automatic 42000 miles

I tried using your descrpitions and pictures to replace my rotors and I did good so far til one point. I took out the bolts from the caliper mounts and I tried to pull the rotor off and it will not come off. It feels as if there are more bolts holding it in place. I looked behind the rotor and it looks like there are 2 more bolts that could come off. I tried to take them off with 1/2" socket and it was on really tight, my socket ended up cracking. Do those have to come off? What is the next step after taking off the mounts to remove the rotor because I'm stuck there since the rotor appears that it won't come off.

Thanks
Dominic Torres

Have you removed the caliper? If yes rotor comes off hub no bolts it is probably rusted to hub. spray WD40 then tap with rubber malet it will come off.
Then sand hub before replacement.
