Brakes problem
2006 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

brakes were making grinding sound, pulled driver side tire .the pad were down to the metal, pulled passanger side pad were full, what caused this? and how do i repair

A few things can cause this. Does the caliper piston depress easily or does it stick? Are the caliper slides free and allow the caliper to move? If so, there is a chance the insides of the rubber brake hose has deteriated and is allowing pressure to the caliper, but it may not allow the caliper to release.
