SHOULD PADS TOUCH ROTOR ALL THE TIME, OR SHOULD THERE BE A SLIGHT AIR GAP? iF THERE SHOULD BE A GAP, HOW DO YOU ADJUST? 04 CHEVY MALIBU.

should be a gap, will have to ensure piston is all the way into the caliper bore before installing new pads. otherwise may have bad / sticky calipers which need replaced.
