On my 2003 Chevy Malibu, the heater blows fumes of a raw stale gas. Formerlly a GM mechanic for 13 years, I am familiar with gas leaks and most places they may come from. I have found no gas leak, or vapor hoses leaking. I did change the air filter but that was of no help. It may do this for a week and then stop for a week. Does not do this in the summer. Appreciate any help you can give!
Thanks! Romadoor

Omg I have the EXACT same problem to a tee. I have a chevy malibu 2000 and literally everything youve said is the same problem I have and noone can figure it out! Someone replaced my upper intake manifold and the injectors but apparently that was not the problem! It is also inconsistent like yours, one day itll do it and it wont the next day. The only theory I have is that when it is cold out, things contract and get smaller so there is room for a leak but when the engine warms up they expand back to normal. Also maybe this is why it doesnt do it in the summer when its warmer. Pllllleeeeeeeeaaaase get back to me because we should figure this out together haha. I dont feel safe driving but at the same time if noone can find a leak what am I supposed to do?
