2003 Chevy Malibu car not switching gears

My car works in reverse and drive gears, but third and 4th gear are not kicking in. Does the 2003 malibu have a dipstick for the transmission fluid? I heard someone thought they started making vehicles w/o the dipstick in like 2006. I just started acting up a couple of weeks ago when a plow ran into our parked car in parking lot of husbands work. It was on the drivers side front by the tire.

There is no dipstick to check fluid level on this transmission. The procedure for checking the fluid is. Start vehicle shift through all gears raise the vehicle on a hoist remove level inspection bolt (usuallly a 10mm bolt thats shiney in color). If fluid comes out its full. If no fluid comes out. Automatic transmission fluid needs to be added.
