Chevy running hot with steam coming out

My car started to run hot, a little steam came from the coolant tank but not alot, I turned the car off and now it wont start, but there is a little click now. Any ideas on way it will not start?

So starter does not engage? Take a look at oil is it normal or more like a chocolate malt.

The oil is normal, everything else works in the car and when I try to start it there a click, I dont know it that the starter or what.

The click would be the starter solenoid so starter motor is not engaging. Check battery voltage also ckeck and clean battery terminals. Have you seen any coolant leaks?

Can you try jump start? Was engine running and you shut it off or it died?
