2002 Chevy Malibu V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 63000 miles

Hi There when i first start the car and put it into gear it make a high pitch noise. it just started But when i step on the brakes it goes away then when i take my foot off it comes bake. Then goes away. what can this be

brake pads

If you hear the noise while car moving and it goes away when foot on brake
It’s the brake pads

Yep, I agree with BMRFIXIT you need front brakes because the pads have a screamer on them. Here is how to change them out in the images below. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
