I am getting a grinding noise in the left front - almost like a propeller plane flying close to the ground - while I drive. It starts around 30kph and slowly gets louder as I speed up. It changes pitch when I turn to the right. From time to time it gets very lound, almost like whatever it is was comming apart.
I have replaced the bearings and CV shaft with no improvement. The sound is unrelated to engine rpm, which is why I suspected the bearings and CV joints.
I am now at my whits end - any ideas? Would a bad tie rod cause something like this, because I know they are worn.

Thanks
