2001 Chevy Malibu Speedometer

2001 Chevy Malibu

My speedometer gives faulty reading, usually lower then the speed I'm driving...mostly after extended driving....Sometimes restarting vehicle helps, sometimes not......is the speed sensor my problem?......Thanks

most probly u have a speed senser problem but u might have a dash cluster problem u could have the computer scaned for trouble codes @ autozone for free,the computer should show a speed senser code hope this helps lsauto
