I am changing the rear brake pads and springs/clamps.
I took theclamp off(the "w" shaped thing) and now cannot get it to go back on. Is there an easy way?

Ah, your having problems with the retractor spring, try putting it in the clamp first and THEN bending on the ends into the holes they go in.

Have someone help you with this.

Or you can use the tool if you want to save some time and hassle.

Hi,

Replacing the rear brake shoes isn't too difficult of a job. The only difference with these brakes is the way they are secured. In place of traditional retaining springs and pins, there is one large retaining spring.

To get you started, here is a link that explains in general how the procedure is done on a traditional vehicle. Although the design is different, there.

If you look at the pics below, they provide the directions specific to rear brake shoe replacement on your vehicle.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
