2001 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

why does my malibu idle fast? If I turn it off then start it again in will idle down where it should be. would that be an Idle control sensor ? if so where is it located ?

The idle air control valve is attached to the throttle body it looks similar to this
