I have lost number 1 and 2 in my fan speed selections for my heater/ac. how would that of happened? and how would I go about fixing it? I got in to the dash behind the controls to find nothing became unplugged, it looks like but i could be wrong that there is air tubes that are connected to the fan speed selector. any help on how to trouble shoot and locate where the problem may be would be great full.

Either the fan relay (under the hood) or the blower motor resister is bad. My first guess would be the resister.

Let me know if this helps.
