2000 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi I am having some trouble with my engine light on my 2000 3.1 V6 malibu. I recently changed back and front piece exhaust. About 2 weeks after my engine light came on went to the garage did a scan said the downstream Oxygen is the problem. I changed that about 2 weeks after the light came on again, went back this time he said the upper oxygen sensor. I replaced that and after abut 3 days the light came back. Long story short the reading still saying the upper oxygen sensor. I need to get a new garage and have a scan done. Can anyone suggest what is the problem. Thank you.

Check the connectors to the o2 sensor that is causing the problem and make sure that it didnt get damaged. Can you get the current code for me if the connector is ok and ill see what I can do to help

Thank you. The mechanic said he cant remember but will have to scan again on Saturday. So I will let you know then.
