2000 Chevy Malibu car doesn't respond when press gas

2000 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i was driving the other day and my car seemed to stop getting gas when I pressed the pedal. The car did not turn off, just wouldn't respond to the gas pedal. I turned the car off, restarted and was able to move. For a few miles, then the same thing happened. It took me several attempts to make it five miles home. Important to note that I have recently replaced the fuel pump and relay

Check your throttle position sensor or have it replaced, that is most likeley the culprit. Good luck with that. Dont know what kind of testing you can do for it. Sure the haynes manual has a procedure for it.
