1999 Chevy Malibu Theft System warning light

Hi, I've been having trouble with the car starting. The theft system warning light will come on. It will flash for about 5 min. While it is flashing the car will not start. After it stops flashing the car will start. This has occurred twice in one week now. Getting a little nervous now. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.

You should have it scanned to see if there is a code, but it sounds like you may need a new passlock sensor. That is what it is a majority of the time.
