1999 Chevy Malibu rough idle

Sometimes when my car is in park or at a traffic light the engine will run a little rough like it chugs -needing gas. This also happens while driving sometimes. it will jerk a little and stop when I adjust my foot. Any thoughts? People have suggeted the tps or fuel pressure regulator. thanks

Hi:
I would start by having the fuel pressure tested. If it's good, look for vacuum leaks. Is the check engine light on?
