1999 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

just did a rooter job on my car and the left side has a knock , now the brakes that i did have on ther were little uneven, because didn't have the money to buy brakes and rooters, so i rode on the new brake with the bad rooters, now that i replaced the rooters today i have a knock, could that be it

knocking sound coming from the wheel area ? or is it coming from somewhere else, under engine?
