1999 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The key won't turn off completely. It stops at the acc mark. Key will come out of ingniton but the accessories stay on.

If your car is equipped with a release button and it is not releasing the key, the tumblers in the ignition switch may be bad.

Make sure your shifter is completely in Park position. If it is, the shift linkage might be off a little not letting the shifter go all the way into park, preventing you from turning the key completely.
