1998 Chevy Malibu good battery and altenator- no charge

1998 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i just put in a new battery and a newa alternator in my car ... TWICE,, my battery light has been on this whole time... when i put in the new equipment i started the car, left it running , the battery light once again came back on and i left it run the lights eventually started to flicker then went out ... then the engine died... any help?

Could be the computer field generation control or the body function controller.
