i just bought a car the no 6 cilinder is dead the plug is fireing there was a jumper wire where the fuel pump relay plugs in (the relay is not in it ) i put a new relay in it and the pump doesnt come on. it does with the jumper wire . i took it to auto zone and put on the scanner i didnt get the code numbers but was told number 6 cylinder was dead and the egr valve was malfunctioning. the car doesnt smoke no oil in radiator no coolent in oil the car has no power and wont hardly get over 20 mph. also the fans never kicked on and all the fuses are good

Hi there,

Do a compression test on the dead cyl first. if comp is low, this will have to be sorted first, do this first.
