1998 Chevy Malibu BLower doesn't blow

Do I need just to replace fan, or should I replace resistor at same time. Is it hard to do? I am not a mechanic. Do I have to take dashboard apart??

what is it doing? therey are not hard to do. they are located under the passenger side of the dash. they ae pretty easy to get to.
