1984 Chevy Malibu 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I bought a 1984 Malibu wagon with 109,000 miles on it. Body and interior are excellent, It has been stored for about 8 years. When started, it smokes. At driving RPM's the smoke stops. Is this dried out valve seals? If so, is there any additive to "rehydrate" them or am I looking at a teardown and replace?

Does sound like valve seals and no additive. You can replace seals without pulling heads. Each cylinder at TDC pump shop air pressure into cylinder then pop spring replace seal. But if guides worn and at 100K+ that is a given then it will work for awhile.
